Where Students Find Their Spark in STEM

Through our partnership with SmartLab, the Campos Foundation transforms traditional classrooms into immersive STEM learning environments where students explore, create, collaborate, and solve real-world challenges. Together we have introdcued over 32,000 students k – 12 to STEM through our Campos Smartlabs. By bringing SmartLabs to Title I schools, we’re helping under represented students discover their spark in STEM while building the confidence, skills, and curiosity that inspire future careers.

Our Partnership with SmartLabs

For more than 10 years, the Campos Foundation and SmartLab have partnered to expand access to high-quality STEM education in communities where it can make the greatest impact. Together, we design, build, and fund fully integrated SmartLabs that combine innovative learning environments, industry-aligned curriculum, and hands-on experiences.

Our commitment extends beyond the classroom. Campos employees regularly volunteer in our SmartLabs, mentoring students, leading workshops, and sharing their career journeys to help students connect classroom learning with real-world STEM careers.

In 2026 Campos was awarded SmartLab’s Inagural Strategic Partnerhip Award!

Research & Measured Impact

The Campos Foundation is committed to investing in programs that create lasting, measurable impact.

Beginning in 2026, our newest Campos SmartLabs will participate in an independent efficacy study conducted by Johns Hopkins University sponsored by Smartlab to evaluate the impact of immersive STEM learning on student success.
The study examines outcomes including:

  • Science achievement
  • Mathematics achievement
  • STEM identity and confidence
  • Student engagement
  • Equity and access to STEM opportunities
  • Teacher, student, and administrator perspectives
  • Long-term educational outcomes
